3rd June 2003 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car Park, Borth Wind Direction: SSE Wind Stength: 14-20 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foor clean surf Air Temperature: 15C Sea Temperature: 13C Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: The wind had been picking up all afternoon, but looked as though it was now beginning to drop so i made a quick dash across to the beach and got out there while the going was good. To start with I thought I would be overpowered with my 5.7m sail and big board, but with it set realy flat it was fine. I made some nice jumps just to show off to the surfers who were bobbing around out there, and even better, had some nice frontside wave -rides, sending up spray on my top turns. The wind then started dropping so I let off some downhaul and outhaul and the waves started to drop too, so I ended up just blasting back and forth in the flat water. Not bad, but nothing special either, good to get back in the water though. |
